Smartphone Connectivity
Clever technology enables riders to connect to their motorcycle wirelessly. Using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP,” a number of instrument functions can be accessed, contributing to an enhanced motorcycling experience. Vehicle information (such as the odometer, fuel gauge, maintenance schedule, etc) can be viewed on the smartphone. Riding logs (varies by model, but may include GPS route, gear position, rpm, and other information) can be viewed on the smartphone. When connected, telephone (call, mail) notices are displayed on the instrument panel. Riders can also make changes to their motorcycle’s instrument display settings (preferred units, clock and date setting, etc) via the smartphone. And on certain models, it is even possible to check and adjust vehicle settings (such as Rider Mode, electronic rider support features, and payload settings) using the smartphone.
ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System)
Kawasaki ABS systems use front and rear wheel sensors to constantly monitor wheel speed. Should information from either of the sensors indicate that wheel lock has occurred, the ABS ECU directs the pump in the ABS unit to modulate brake fluid pressure (releasing and reapplying pressure so that traction can be regained) until normal operation resumes. ABS offers rider reassurance that contributes to greater riding enjoyment.

- Platform with Purpose The high-tensile steel perimeter frame, short wheelbase and low seat height offer the handling needed for confident trail riding for a wide range of riders and environments. The KLX®230 features a seat height of 34.8-inches vs. 33.2-inches on the KLX®230 S.
- Confident On- and Off-Road The 2024 KLX®230 S has a new longer-travel suspension with optimized settings that help power through rugged terrain with comfort and control. Plus, a new lightweight aluminum swingarm and rear brake master cylinder helps keep the bike light for improved on- or off-road maneuverability.
- Strong Braking Power Petal disc brakes add even more stopping power, with a twin-piston caliper gripping a 240mm disc in the front and a 220mm disc in the rear.
- A Kawasaki First The 2024 KLX®230 S is available with an updated dual-sport calibrated ABS*, specially developed for this model. Designed to assist stopping performance on low-friction surfaces, this ABS system will offer reassurance to both new and experienced riders. A switch on the left handlebar allows riders to disable the front and rear ABS function to better suit riding conditions.
- Big-time Fun Full-size aluminum wheels measuring 21-inches in the front and 18-inches in the rear allow for confident riding and handling over varied terrain.

- Confidence Inspiring The KLX®230 S features a shorter, two-stage front suspension with 7.8-inches of travel. The front forks are shorter, and work with shorter dual-stage springs with a firmer spring rate. Combined with reduced rear suspension travel (8.7 inches), this helps lower the seat height by 1.6 inches.
